IMEX Group Managing Director Paul Flackett, a meetings industry pioneer whose career spanned over three decades, has died after a long illness. Flackett worked with Ray Bloom to found EIBTM in 1987. The Finnish capital hosted 38,000 congress visitors this summer, an increase of 8,000 on last year. The visits added about €50 million to the city’s economy.
